Ben served as HOKA NAZ Elite’s head coach and executive director from 2014 through 2021 before the hiring of Alan Culpepper as head coach in 2022. Though he now serves a much smaller coaching role–consulting on marathon training, as the head coach he led the team to more than 80 wins, 13 national titles, ten World Marathon Major Top Tens, eight World Championship appearances, and one Olympic Trials Marathon victory. Before launching NAZ Elite in 2014, he had been an elite athlete, a special events coordinator, a running store owner, a marketing director, and an event director.

Making Sense of Heart Rate Variability Data
Marco holds a PhD cum laude in applied machine learning, a M.Sc. cum laude in computer science engineering, and a M.Sc. cum laude in human movement sciences and high-performance coaching. He has published more than 50 papers and patents at the intersection between physiology, health, technology and human performance. He is the co-founder of HRV4Training, advisor at Oura, guest lecturer at VU Amsterdam, and editor of the Wearables department of IEEE Pervasive Computing. He loves running.

Co-founder of 80/20 Endurance, David Warden is an internationally recognized coach and author. His clients include World Age Group Duathlon champions, Guinness World Record triathlon holders, and multiple Ironman World Championship qualifiers. He is the co-author of Triathlon Science, the industry standard for triathlon coaches and academics and 80/20 Triathlon. His athletic resume includes 46 first place overall wins in triathlon and duathlon, including the 2x USAT Regional Sprint Triathlon Champion (2011, 2016). He has finished as the top American at the Mallorca 70.3, Abu Dhabi International Half, and Balearic Championships. David is every bit as handsome, but not nearly as tall, as the photo above suggests.

Riley Nickols
Person First, Athlete Second: Prioritizing Mental Health
Riley Nickols, PhD, CEDS-S is a counseling and sport psychologist who specializes in working with athletes to address mental health and performance concerns through his private practice, Mind Body Endurance where in-person and virtual services are provided to address performance, eating, mental health, and nutritional concerns for athletes. Currently, Dr. Nickols is on EDCare’s Scientific Advisory Board and is the Senior Program Advisor for Athlete Edge at EDCare in Denver, CO where specialized intensive eating disorder treatment is provided for athletes. He was previously the Director of the Victory Program, the nation’s first residential eating disorder treatment facility for athletes, from 2013-2021 at McCallum Place in St. Louis, MO. In addition to competing in endurance sports for over 20 years, Dr. Nickols is a running coach and a USA Triathlon coach.

Scott Dickens is the Director of Business Development at FORM. He has been with FORM for over 3 years. Now in the capacity of Business Development for FORM, Scott’s recent project was developing the framework for FORM Workouts & Plans. In addition to his athletic achievements, he is experienced in coaching a range of levels, from novice/beginning to university level swimmers, and has an MBA from Simon Fraser University.
